Just a bit about some of the towns, regions and things about Italy that I find interesting.
I thought it might be fun to document some of the things that I find interesting and exciting about Italy ... from aspects of its history to information on various areas. So far only a few regions are dealt with. Of course there are many more to be covered and discovered ... that's the fun of it.
Please don't treat this as a guide book. You will find far more relevant information in most guides (the Blue Guide series is my preferred companion) ... and please, skip over parts that you find too detailed.

Regional tours around smaller towns visited by the Giro d'Italia
The "Giro d'Italia" bike race made available quick but interesting details on some of the cities and towns the tour has started or finished in. These make great mini tours if you are in the region.
